Who says "mustangs are mutts"?...After winning the Midwest Mustang Challenge in Madison, Wisconsin earlier this year with Jazz (shown above) I am a believer in this breed. So much so that I'm gentling more wild ones to have available for others to adopt. Together we beat out more than 50 competing trainers and their horses who came to the Midwest Horse Fair from all over the country. Jazz is one of the most versatile and willing horses I've ever worked with partly because he has the mind to do most anything. I realized early on that Jazz would be coming home with me after the competition at any cost. I wasn't about to let him go after I realized what I had.
